Titleist CB 716 Irons
Many players will be interested in Titleist’s latest cavity back better-player iron, but the new Titleist 716 CB irons are quite unlike those that have released in the past – this is due to the use of high-density tungsten. The better-player out there will be interested in Titleist’s new 716 MB model, an attractive muscle-back blade with modern tweaks to deliver maximum control.
The iron is still geared for better players that want to shape the ball, but with the addition of two shaped tungsten weights that were inserted into the heel and toe of the 3- through 7-iron with the help of an advanced co-forging process, the club will have significantly more forgiveness than previous versions. By adding roughly 55.2 grams of tungsten, engineers were able to lower the club's center of gravity. The weight not only improves forgiveness but produces a slightly higher ball flight in the long and middle irons for distance control.
