Lisa Brammer of the chart-topping Military Wives Choir has been appointed St Mellion International Resort’s new sales and marketing manager in a bid to boost performance.
The Scottish-born singer, who features on the influential choir’s Stronger Together album, joined St Mellion in 2009 in a business development role before moving into her new role recently - a development that has coincided with her choir’s joy in the album charts.
However, despite the lack of singing at St Mellion, Lisa made it clear she values her role at the golfing destination.
“My job at St Mellion doesn’t involve much singing but I do enjoy the creative side of sales and marketing,” she said.
“A goal of mine is to attract larger events both to St Mellion and to the south west in general, and I hope to bring fresh creativity to the task of developing St Mellion’s external communications.”
The Military Wives Choir helps the wives and girlfriends of British servicemen express themselves through song, as well as raise money for the Royal British Legion, the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association charities and Military Wives Foundation.
Along with her band members, the formation of the Military Wives has enabled Lisa to sing at the Queen’s Jubilee at Buckingham Palace, in front of 60,000 rugby fans at Twickenham, at The Royal Albert Hall’s Remembrance Sunday concert and has recorded a number one hit single with Gary Barlow OBE.
