In my opinion, Mizuno MP-63 Irons not only look fantastic, they also perform and feel incredible. Exceeded my expectations thus far. Only played one round, but have had several sessions at the range. Gives you the confidence to go straight at the pin. I did notice that i gained about 10 - 15 additional yards per club compared to my previous Callaway Diablo EDGE irons. Center hits are fabulous and soft, but the ball goes like a rocket and very accurate. Knocked serval strokes off my score, at least on this first round.
Mizuno have devoted much time and energy to their research into the sound and feel at impact (called Harmonic Impact Technology) and the Diamond Muscle Design that debuts in the MP-63 golf iron set proved to be the most popular design in blind testing by Mizuno’s tour golfers. The Diamond Muscle Design reinforces the club head from heel to toe and offers enhanced feel and ball control.
This Iron Set is the evolution of Mizuno's most popular Tour iron cheap golf clubs. The legendary Grain Flow Forging process combines with an innovative Diamond Muscle design to create the perfect blend of feel and control in a player's cavity.
One of the primary design goals of the Mizuno MP-63 Irons was to improve on the feel and playability of the MP-62. So they copied the head size, top line, offset, and sole width, and then set to tuning the sound and feel and enhancing the grind to improve the irons' versatility in shot making. The former involves the aforementioned Harmonic Impact Technology, while the latter primarily has to do with the visible 360° grind on the trailing edge to improve turf interaction.
The set also features what Mizuno call a ‘reverse flow’ where the longer irons have larger heads for a little more forgiveness. This is not particularly noticeable at address but when you hit the 3 and 4 irons it feel like you are hitting a 5 or a 6 so the principle works in practice. The grooves on the face conform to the 2010 condition of competition regulations. If you are a low single figure golfer or a blade fanatic then the Mizuno MP-63 iron is definitely one to try as it combines looks and performance with the most forgiveness we have found in an iron in this sector of the market.
In a word, these irons are amazing. I have been playing Callaway irons, but missed the feel of Mizuno's. I was not dissapointed with cheap Mizuno MP-63 Irons. They feel better than any other iron I have played with the workability of any true blade.
