I've always been a Ping iron advocate. I've played Ping Irons for many years. Rencently,I have tried cheap Ping Rapture V2 Irons,it is easy to hit these clubs too far. These clubs respond well to partial swings for pitching and chipping around the green.
Ultra-premium graphite shaft designed by ping specifically for the Rapture V2 line. This shaft line is engineered with ultra lightweight materials and features progressive weight, flex point and torque profiles for each flex designed to maximize the performance for its expected player profile. The design features combine to create a shaft line that delivers higher club head speed, optimal launch conditions and enhanced control, consistency and feel for golfers of all skill levels. It is also the first graphite shaft line ever to feature AWT.
Engineered to bring golfers maximum forgiveness, the Rapture V2 iron relies on multi-metal technology to launch the ball longer, higher and with more accuracy. A dense tungsten sole weight positions the center of gravity low and away from the face to optimize the launch conditions. An innovation made possible by the lightweight titanium face that frees weight for where it’s needed most—low and on the perimeter.
The Ping Rapture V2 Irons result from Ping's investment in multi-metal technology that combines the key properties of various materials to deliver a club that produces an optimal performance. Each iron is made up or a tungsten sole weight, a titanium face and a stainless steel body to allow for an innovative game improvement design.
The lightweight titanium face allows weight to be relocated to the wider tungsten sole that positions the centre of gravity ideally for a higher launch angle and increased MOI. As a result the Ping Rapture V2 can incorporate stronger lofts to increase distance without sacrificing any control.
Building on the solid foundation of the previous Ping irons, the Ping Rapture V2 Irons offer even more forgiveness and feel. Ping perfected the variable thickness face technology which increases ball speed for maximum launch velocity at any clubhead speed. Like Ping G20 Irons, they have a color coding system, including black dot and other ten color dots for you to choose.
All in all,the V2 irons cheap golf clubs in my opinion have the largest sweet spot of any irons I have previously owned. The ball tracks straighter and the ball flight is higher, probably explaining the little bit of distance loss from my previous clubs, these are by far more forgiving.I hope that Ping continues to make high quality irons that retain their value better than the other name brands.
