Scott Stallings clinched his hat-trick of PGA Tour titles at the Farmers Insurance Open. The 28-year-old American reeled off four birdies over his final eight holes to secure a narrow one-shot victory at Torrey Pines.
Stallings trusted a full bag of Titleist bats including the Titleist 913 d2 driver, new Titleist AP2 714 irons that we were recently custom fit for, as well as the brand new Titleist SM5 wedges that was unveiled at the PGA Merchandise Show.
SM5 wedges, with a more compact and balanced profile, are available in three new finishes – Tour Chrome, Gold Nickel and Raw Black. Each wedge features new, clean graphics, with the grind designation (i.e. “S Grind”) called out on the club, and increased space for five-character personalised stamping.
Forged from a soft 8620 carbon steel that enhances feel, the SM5 features a more compact profile with a rounder toe and shorter blade length than its predecessor the SM4. Vokey added new TX3 grooves that are deeper and 7% larger in volume in two performance configurations.
