Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver versus X2 Hot Driver

lowpriceaugolf -

Three weeks ago I bought a new Callaway Big Bertha Driver. Last fall I bought a Callaway razr fit driver and razr fit fairway wood. WOW! What a combination! If you want to improve your game get fitted for a new set of callaway clubs. They are by far the best!

Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver holds a very special place in my heart. Not just because it represents one of the biggest equipment launches the game has ever seen with the revamp of the iconic Big Bertha name, but also because of the hat tip to Sir Isaac Newton with its new Gravity Core.

In terms of looks, I'm a big fan of how the Alpha has a slightly smaller footprint and more traditional shape at address that better players find appealing. Dare I say it, a little like the older Big Bertha shape. It's also more than likely a reason why many Callaway Tour staffers have favoured the new Alpha stick. With the Gravity Core in the middle of the sole, acting as the famous red apple that landed on the head of my tenth great grandfather, it gives off a very modern, futuristic look.

Emphasizing the focus on distance, the Callaway X2 Hot Driver debut the Company’s Hyper Speed Face technology, with a large overall design, resulting in high average balls speeds and a lighter weight construction. Players can independently adjust the driver’s loft and lie with the Company’s Advanced Optifit Hosel.

There are many recipes for distance — no singular clubhead shape, size, loft, CG position, head weight, club length or swingweight optimizes performance for everyone. So Callaway is bringing options in the X2 Hot line to promote optimal distance gains for all swings. The standard version of the X2 Hot Driver is 460cc, available in 9°, 10.5° and 13.5°HT lofts, and comes stock with an Aldila Tour Blue shaft.

I just feel more confident with these drivers and better distance. I really like the forgiveness, but I can't help but notice a slice with it, which comes with my lower taylormade rocketbladez irons. I haven't been able to get used to it yet, but those few shots that I get a hold of it, it flies! All in all, great product I just need to get used to it.
